Long County High School football quarterback Jake Durham recently was recognized by the Old Spice Red Zone Player of the Year program for his efforts on and off the field.
Blue Tide head football coach Kyle Wilson nominated the senior for the award earlier this year, and said Durham epitomizes all the characteristics the award committee looks for in a football player.
"He’s a character guy. He’s the kind of player who every coach wants playing for him. He does everything that you ask of him. He works hard, listens, plays through injuries. He’s just a quality guy," Wilson said.
