Former Liberty County and First Presbyterian Christian Academy left-handed pitcher Richard Lovelady has been selected for the Carolina League Northern Division All-Star Team.

The All-Star team will play June 20 in Salem, Va.

Lovelady played college ball at Kennesaw State University. He currently plays for the Single A-Advanced Wilmington Blue Rocks.

They are a minor division of the Kansas City Royals.

One June 4, Lovelady added two more scoreless outings to his streak which is now at nine. In that game the Blue Rocks beat the Down East 6-4.

The last time Lovelady gave up a run was May 1. Currently he has five saves and a 1.44 ERA.
