Ludowici church wins league

The Macedonia Baptist Church in Long County won a double elimination tournament in the Glennville Recreation Department Thursday.
They stayed in the winner’s bracket by defeating Watermelon Creek first, then Cornerstone and finally Cornerstone again for the championship.
Macedonia players are Pastor Morris, Joseph and Jarod Durant, Stan Posey, Rashad Evans, Robert Wooten, Kolani Boyd, Greg Holmes, Johnny Pope, Cedric Berry, Marcus Scott, Eric Flowers, Tony Mills, Brandon Knight and Lamar Tillman.
The team is coached by Jennifer and Jamal Posey and the manager is Shaqu Davis.
Macedonia will represent the Glennville Recreation Department when they play Metter at for the district championship at the Statesboro High School gym.
