McRae hosting action-packed sports weekend

This weekend is set to be action packed as professional basketball player Jordan McRae is hosting a series of events to raise funds for local charities.

Friday, June 24

Jordan McRae’s basketball skills camp, presented by South Georgia Elite, will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday at Liberty County High School. It is free and open to kids ages 8–16. That evening, Friday Night Lights football skills camp with NFL players and Liberty County High School alumni Raekwon McMillon (New England Patriots) and Richard LeCounte (Cleveland Browns) will be held from 7:15 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., with a community tailgate from 4–7 p.m. The football skills camp is open to grades 8–12.

Saturday, June 25

The Liberty County Legends basketball game will be held at Liberty County High School from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and younger.
