Hinesville Fire Department engineer Roland Evans, engineer Mike Scoggins and Hinesville Ford general manager Fred Mingledorff stand next to a 2010 Ford F-150, which may be one of the prizes at HFD’s annual golf tournament Aug. 28 at the Cherokee Rose Country Club. It raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The tournament will be a four-person team, best-ball scramble. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, along with individual awards for the longest drive and nearest to the pin shots. In addition, Hinesville Ford will award a pickup, not necessarily the one pictured, to anyone who gets a hole-in-one at hole number 3. The entry fee per person is $50. The department is accepting donations for door prizes and hole sponsorships are available for $100. For more information, call 876-4143.
