Medical group team wins golf tourney

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce hosted its 10th annual Golf Classic on April 24 at Cherokee Rose Country Club.

Nineteen teams entered the four-man-scramble tournament for a chance to place in the top three and win a cash prize. The winning team for the tournament was Liberty Regional Medical Group & Kris Brinker. The second-place team was Canoochee EMC and Jack Shuman and third place went to the Coastal Pawn & Anthony Howard’s team. The longest-drive prize went to Mark Hewitt, and the closest-to-the-pin prize went to Luke Dryden.

The chamber will make a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of Gary Newsome.
