Bradwell Institute junior varsity softball coach Misty Eastlake and her traveling softball team, the Hinesville Katz, will hit the tournament circuit, starting this week in Rincon.

The 16U girls’ team was scheduled to start yesterday and will play throughout the week as they showcase their skills against teams from Southeast Georgia, a team from Michigan and a visiting team from Ohio.

Eastlake said her squad is a year-round, traveling team, and she is still searching for a pitcher and an infielder. She said anyone who wants to try out can come to practice from 2-4 p.m. every Sunday at Bradwell’s softball field.
