Pacing for Polio race Saturday

Pacing for Polio, a fundraising 5K race and evening of events, will start at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at the pavilion in Richmond Hill's J.F. Gregory Park.
After the race, awards will be given to different age groups ranging from younger than 9 to 76 years and older for both male and female runners. Registration cost, to include a free T-shirt and goody bag, is $25 through Friday and $30 on race day. Active-duty military will receive a $5 discount and each student will receive a $15 discount. Late registration for the race is from 4-5:30 p.m. Child care will be available for $5 per family. Sponsorships start at $100.
The public is invited to the free after-race party hosted by the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill at the Station Exchange, across from J.F. Gregory Park, where there will be free refreshments, live music by local country/Southern rock band Exit 76, and local vendor booths.
