According to Liberty County High School football coach Kirk Warner, the Panther football team has won a grant from the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons and the NFL Foundation offer the grants to youth and high-school football teams in Georgia to refurbish equipment. Annually, the Falcons award qualified applicants grants of up to $1,000.
“We received a $1,000 grant from the Falcons,” Warner said, adding they expect to receive the funds at the beginning of December.
The coach said his team will use the money to replace its trap chute.
