The Bradwell Tigers and the Liberty County Panthers football teams recently wrapped up mini-spring training sessions for the 2009 season. Coaches for both squads say they plan to condition over the summer as they look to solidify spots left open by graduating seniors.

One area that needs no soli-difying is the varsity quarter-
back positions. The Tigers have starter Wilson Brown coming back for his senior year and
Nick Smith is stepping up from his role as the QB for the
JV squad. For the Panthers, Julian Stokes starts his senior season with Matt Desbiens to back him up.

Both squads plan to attend camps this summer and practice will officially begin Aug. 1 with shorts, shoulder pads and helmets.

The Courier will keep you posted when the summer camp schedule is released.
