Liberty's dominant defense from last season re-emerged Friday night forcing the punts and shutting down the Statesboro High Blue Devils 29-0.

It was a statement coach Kirk Warner knew his team had to make as the upcoming teams get harder and region play begins.

The Blue Devils never got the momentum allowing costly penalties to push them back after gaining extensive positive yards.
