Panthers fall in scrimmage to Ware County

Barri Felix scored 14 points, connecting on four 3-pointers, as the Liberty County boys fell to Ware County 73-59 in a preseason basketball scrimmage.

Keon Grant had nine points, all on 3s, and Keanu Maynard added nine points. The Panthers finished with 10 made 3-point shots.

In the girls game, Lyric McIver and Maritza Troche’ each led the Lady Panthers with eight points in a 57-28 Ware County win. Malajah Roberts scored six.

The high school basketball season tips off Saturday when Liberty visits Bradwell Institute. The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m. and the boys game will start at 8 p.m.
