Liberty County High School’s track teams were in Jacksonville last weekend where the boys and girls finished in second place at the Plankhorn Invitational Meet.
According to track coach Nathan Mims the boys also had a top point score from Patrick Williams who finished first in the high jump (5-feet, 11 inches), first in the 200-meter dash (22.08) and second in the 100-meter dash (11.00). He was also a member of the boys 4X100 and 4X400relay teams which placed second and third respectively at the event as well.
“The boys lost to Statesboro by only six points,” Mims said adding they competed against 12 teams.” “We had many personal records set.”
