The Lewis Frasier Middle School boys’ basketball team won the first annual Helen Willis-Fluke Memorial Turkey Shoot-Out tournament held Nov.19-20 in Wayne County.
The Patriots in game one beat Martha Puckett Middle School 51-35.
In game two, the Patriot boys came back from a nine-point halftime deficit to beat Arthur Williams Middle School 53-51 for the title.
Patriot Donte’ Harris was awarded the tournament MVP award. Harris scored 28 points in the tournament.
Patriot Darrien Beverly chipped in with 22 points, Daylan Baker scored 17, Trevon Marion added 15, Chris Russell had 9 and Da’Meshon Jackson scored 3.
The Patriots are Marc Rommel, Trevon Marion, Darius Smith, Bryan Whittingham, Da’Meshon Jackson, Jair Reynolds, Darrien Beverly, Donte’ Harris, John Clark, Daylan Baker, Chris Russell and Quendell Hall.
