The Long County Board of Education made it official Monday night. J.T. Pollock is the head football coach at Long County High School.
Pollock, who coached 12 seasons at Appling County, had an 82-49-2 record at Appling, and his 2011 team went 12-2 and advanced to the Class AA semifinals, according to the Georgia High School Football Historian's Association. His hiring was one of several approved by the school board at Monday's meeting.
Blue Tide fans should be familiar with Pollock, who was 7-0 against Long County.
