Prep Round Up: Liberty falls in Region 14-6 to Central Macon

The Liberty County Panthers lost to Central Macon 14-6 on the gridiron during the Region AAA Georgia High School Association state football playoff game, Nov. 27. The Central Macon Chargers will play Pierce County Dec. 4. Liberty ends the season with a 1-4-1 record.

FPCA Cross Country earns state runners-up title

First Preparatory Christian Academy’s boys’ cross country team was the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) State runners-up this season. The Lady Highlanders finished in third place. Kaylah Anderson and DJ Christensen both placed 5th overall and were named to the All-State team. For the girls, Makaylee Jones 13th, Amiyah Durrence 28th, Skyler Jenkins 37th and Asia Hayden 38th. For boys, Timothy Christensen 13th, Caleb Harmon 16th, Krish Patel 17th, Alfred Martin 28th, Cade Creasey 30th, Logan Dore 35th.

The FPCA Highlander squads were the Region Champs this season.
