The 2019 Mayor’s Motorcade Committee will hold the 2019 Saved by the Ball Kickball Tournament Saturday, Nov. 2 at James Brown Park, with tournament play beginning at 10 a.m. Join your neighbors and spend the day reliving recess by forming a team and competing for the title of best kickballers in Hinesville.

The cost is $50 per team to play and all registration fees will go toward the 2019 Mayor’s Motorcade. Registration opened last month and final rosters are due by Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. at city hall. Late registrations will be assessed a $25 fee and no later registrations will be accepted after Friday, Oct. 26.

Rosters must have 8-15 players listed. Kicking lineups must up a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 15 players. Fielding teams must have a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 10 players. If teams would like to have nonplaying coaches on their rosters, they are allowed up to two (2) per team. The minimum age to play in the tournament is 14 years of age.

Each team is required to have minimum of two female players on the roster (not to be included in the “nonplaying coaches” category) and one must be on the field of play at all times when a team is fielding.

If teams are unable to field a roster with two females on team, they are still able to sign up for the tournament. At the beginning of each of their games, a point will be awarded to their opponent. If two teams who do not have the minimum number of females meet in tournament play, this rule will still be enforced. If a team who does not have the minimum number of females qualifies for the Bronze or Gold medal games, this rule will still be enforced.

The registration form, roster and payment must be submitted to the following address by Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.:
