Rockets place well at district meet

Fort Stewart’s track team, the Rockets, competed May 30 at the Georgia Games District Track Meet at Savannah State University.

According to the coach, the team swept the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay events and finished the meet with a total of 151 medals.

Of those, 108 medals were gold.

The Rockets faced teams from Savannah, Statesboro, Hilton Head and Tallahassee, Fla.
