4-H selling Braves tickets
The Long County 4-H Club is selling tickets to the Atlanta Braves 4-H Night, July 16.
The game against the Colorado Rockies starts at 7:10 p.m. Tickets cost $13 each. Parking passes cost $10, $20 for passenger vans and $40 for buses.
County Extension Associate Savannah Carter said a limited number of tickets have been reserved for the Georgia 4-H clubs, and they are being sold on a first come basis.
“Due to the popularity of this event each year, we expect to sell out of our allotted tickets early,” she said.

Fishing for 200 Club
SAVANNAH — The fifth annual Coastal Empire Kingfish Classic Tournament is slated to return to Richmond Hill on June 11. Hosted by Fort McAllister Sport Fishing Club, the tourney is expected to draw scores of anglers to the Ogeechee River. Proceeds from the day on the water, live music and family-friendly activities will benefit The Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting families of law-enforcement officers and firefighters who suffer critical injuries or death in the line of duty. Since the Savannah-based club, www.twohundredclub.org, was founded 15 years ago, it has given more than $1.2 million to the loved ones of first responders.
Early entries are now being accepted, and the team fee is just $350. After June 1, the fee climbs to $375. Early entries should be mailed to P.O. Box 1133, Richmond Hill, GA 31324. Make checks payable to Fort McAllister Sport Fishing Club. Organizers cannot accept credit cards.

Walk to Dorchester
The 16th annual Walk to Dorchester is scheduled for June 18. Registration forms are located dorchesteracade myia.org.
Walkers may also register on that day at three different locations, depending on how far they wish to walk. Registration at Briar Bay Park begins at 6 a.m. (full 9 miles). Registration at First Zion Baptist starts at 6:45 a.m. (6.7 miles) and registration at Thebes AME Church starts at 9:15 a.m. (1.2 miles). You must register to participate. Registration is $10.
Proceeds go to help restore the school that was built to educate former slaves.
Walkers younger than 18 must have permission of parent or guardian. Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen. Walkers are also encouraged to walk the distance they can complete safely. Participants should be dropped off at their starting point and make arrangements to be picked up at Dorchester Academy.

Soccer camp
Atlantic Calcio Academy and the Hinesville Gators have partnered again for the annual Elite Soccer Camp. It is set for 9 a.m. to noon July 11-14 at James Brown Park and is open to ages 6-17.
The program is designed to teach American players Italian soccer skills. The program is coached by Gavino Asteghene, the 2013 Georgia Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year and Atlanta Calcio Academy USA director. The coaching staff also includes ACA International coaches David Sexton, Jason Christie, Mike Cedeil and Francesco Macri.
Registration includes a dry-fit camp T-shirt. The cost is $150 per player. Campers may also purchase a game ball for $15, which is $30 off the normal retail price. Register online at www.atlantacalcioacademy.com
