Rotary Club to host  fishing tournament
The Hinesville Rotary Club is hosting a red fish and trout fishing tournament Sept. 20.
The captains’ meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Sunbury Crab Company, with the tournament weigh-in at 3 p.m. the following day.
There will be separate payouts for red fish and trout categories. First place in each category will receive $1,000. Second place receives $500, and third place receives $250. There also will be a first place trophy given in the female and junior category. The tournament is seeking anglers and sponsors.

LCRD boot camp moving
The Liberty County Recreation Department boot camp class will move from Tuesday to Wednesday. The class also will start at 5:30 p.m. For information, call 876-5359.

Safe Kids Savannah Youth Triathlon
Register for second annual Safe Kids Savannah Youth Triathlon, Sept. 6 for youth 7-15. Register at www.runsignup.com. The triathlon will take place in and around the Chatham County Aquatic Center and Lake Mayer. More information  can be found at www.safekidssavannah.org.

Golf tourney to benefit Long Co. baseball team
The second annual Long County Baseball Golf Tournament will be  held at 1 p.m. Aug. 23 at Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville.
Sign-up begins at 1 p.m., and tee-off is at 1:30 p.m.
Tournament fees are $60 per person or $240 for team of four. Lunch will be provided. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams. There also will be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and hole-in-one. For more information, call 432-6149 or 703-229-2648.
