BRUNSWICK — Fierce stock car racing returns to the high banks of Golden Isles Speedway Saturday night.
Drivers in all divisions will continue their battles for the season-long championships.
A full racing program is set to take the green flag in this weekend’s action with feature events scheduled for late model, limited sportsman, super street, hobby stock and pure stock divisions.
Two weeks ago, fans watched heated battles on the track as drivers raced door-to-door and nose to tail throughout each event as championship contenders beat and banged at high speed around the four-tenths mile red clay oval. This weekend should see even more two and three-wide daring moves as the championship season draws closer to the end.
Grandstand gates will open at 5 p.m. with tickets available at the speedway. Adult grandstand admission is $12 and children 12 and younger are admitted free in the grandstands when accompanied by a paying adult. Pit Gates open at 3 p.m. with racing set to begin at 7. The speedway is 12 miles west of I-95 on U.S. Highway 82 in Waynesville.
Additional event information is available by calling the track office at (912) 778-3767 or on the track’s Web site at www.goldenislesspeedway.com
