Former First Presbyterian Christian Academy Highlander soccer player Clark Sukaratana was named to the Appalachian Athletics Conference (AAC) All-Academic Team for the 2016 season.

Sukaratana, a junior midfielder at Point University, earned the accolade Nov. 10. This is the second year in a row Sukaratana was named to the AAC All-Academic Team.

According to Sukaratana’s father Tom Sukaratana this might be his son’s last season on the Point University soccer team as his son plans to transfer to the University of Georgia to finish his accounting degree.

According to the University’s web-site, Sukaratana made nine appearances in 2014 as a freshman and started in two games. That season he hit his first career goal in Point’s 6-0 win over Warren Wilson on Oct. 4, 2014. He totaled a career high three shots in Point’s 3-2 overtime win over Truett-McConnell on Oct. 25, 2014.

Last year he played in 14 games with five starts scoring four points, two assists and recorded six shots on goal.

This year he played in 19 games helping the Skyhawks attain a 9-9-2 record.
