Long County head football coach Eric McNair confirmed Monday that he would be leaving the Blue Tide to accept a coaching position at Metter High School.

McNair became the Long County head coach in 2015 and led the football team to a 3-7 record in his debut season. This year, his team compiled a 1-6-2 mark, giving him a 4-13-2 record as a head coach.
Before taking the helm of the Blue Tide, McNair was the team’s offensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014. Prior to joining the Long County football, he was an assistant coach at Tattnall County and Metter.
