The Long County High School football team began spring training Monday. According to head coach Kyle Wilson, 55 players came out for training.

"Yeah, we had 55 guys out here today and that is really a good showing for the first day," Wilson said. "We’re only missing around five guys that we thought would be here because we expected 65 on the team and five freshmen are at a weightlifting tournament, so we really got most of our guys here."

During the training sessions, Wilson and the other coaches are teaching basics to the players.
