The Long County track and field team ran in the 13th annual Plankenhorn Invitational at Brooklet Wednesday.

The Ludowici team brought home four medals.

Ja’Nya Bryant won both the 100- and 200-meter races, winning two golds. Cameron Taylor won the mile distance run, also getting a gold.

The 4x4 girls relay team, Mya Howard, Keke Calhoun, Katie Estill and Bryant, brought home a third place bronze medal.

The meet is held annually to honor former Southeast Bulloch High School student-athlete Derrick Plankenhorn who died in 2003 while participating in track practice.

This year’s meet had its largest field ever with 23 teams competing.
