On Friday, the Long County High School football team will wrap up the 2017 season by taking on Brantley County.

Both the Blue Tide and the Herons go into the game without a win, so both teams will be going into the contest feeling that they can pull out the victory. On paper, Brantley County has the slight edge being ranked five places higher than Long County in the MaxPreps AAA state rankings. But then again when you take into account that the Blue Tide is playing at home with the night also being senior night, such a slight advantage can be thrown out. The reality is, for the seniors on both the Blue Tide and the Herons, a win to close out the season would be the highlight of their season.

Seniors to be recognized are Isaac Abram, Holden Riddle, Joey Guadalupe, Eric Crawford, Quentin Facen, J.J. Elder, Jamel Sloan, Ryheim Izzard, Alex Maldonado, Cody Cox, M’Kiyah Folston-Anderson, Christian Bass, Ormondo Orozco, Marquese Bacon, Ricardo Flores and Lorenzo Buckner.

The game is in Ludowici with kickoff scheduled for 7:30.
