Tigers get win, Liberty gets bye
liberty football

Bradwell Institute’s Homecoming game was capped off with a 42-8 win over Tattnall County last Friday. The Tigers shut out the Battle Creek Warriors until the fourth quarter.

The BI squad was up 28-0 at the half. The Tigers then scored a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters to seal the win.

Tiger quarterback Vencent Gilbert was 10-of-15 for 103 passing yards. Tigers Kevin Harris and Donte Jones scored touchdowns on runs while the special team scored a touchdown on a kick return by Corrie Walker and a 61 yard punt return by Dariuse Cooper.

Harris rushed for 154 yards.

The Tigers also crowned their Homecoming King and Queen (I think their names are on the photos Charles Smith sent)

Bradwell (1-3) is set to play at Long County Friday at 7:30 p.m.

After a bye week the Liberty County Panthers (2-1) are playing at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Richmond Hill High School.

The Panthers beat Evans County 32-19 on Sept. 7, after a strong fourth quarter finish.

Panther quarterback Markel Johnson was 2-of-5 for 49 passing yards and a touchdown.

Kris Coleman rushed for 267 yards on 20 carries. He scored 2 touchdowns. LD Mack made a 40 yard touchdown pass reception.
