Tigers open football season at Dodge County

Bradwell Institute played at Dodge County Friday night to open their football season. The Tigers fell 49-37 in a tough challenge. The Indians took a 22-3 lead in the first quarter. The Tigers scored a touchdown and a field goal prior to half-time trailing 22-9.

In the third quarter of play the Indians scored three touchdowns. But the Tigers rallied scoring 14 points in the third and 14 in the fourth quarter.

The Indians did score another touchdown in the final quarter of play.

Bradwell will play against cross-town rival Liberty County High School Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Donell Woods Stadium. That game is the Panthers’ first game of the season. The winner of the match-up gets to hold the Commissioners Cup Trophy for a year.
