Tigers off to strong start in soccer

Soccer season is underway, and the Bradwell Institute Lady Tigers are off to a 2-0-1 start.

On Jan. 26, they beat Wayne County 7-3. Emily Hause scored 5 goals and Makayla Robinson scored 2.

Feb. 5, they beat Toombs County 8-0. Robinson nailed a hat-trick scoring 3 goals, Hause scored 2, Allison Ramirez Diaz, Emily Wyatt and Jasmin Ortiz Lopez each had one goal in the win. On Feb. 12 the Lady Tigers played against Ware County and the game ended in a 5-5 tie. The individual stats from the Ware County were not posted by press time.

Tiger boys are 2-0-1 overall after also tying

the score 1-1 against Ware County Feb. 12. They won on Feb. 2, at Bryan County in a 10-0 shutout. The boys also beat Toombs County 4-0 on Feb. 5. Scoring stats for the boys’ games were not posted.

Both teams were set to play Glynn Academy yesterday. They are scheduled to play Liberty County on Feb. 19. The girls’ game is at 5 p.m., boys’ at 7 p.m. That will mark the start of the Panthers’ soccer season.
