Bradwell Institute baseball players Evan Crystal and Josh Dayutis were selected to the 2017 2-AAAAAA All-Region baseball team.
Both were named to outfield positions on the team.
Crystal finished this season with a .414 batting average, .493 on base percentage, .707 slugging percentage, eight doubles, three triples, a home run and 15 runs batted in. He also pitched 25 innings and finished with a 5.18 ERA and 23 strikeouts. Two of Crystal’s top performances were against Savannah Country Day, where he went 2-for-4 with four RBIs, and against Richmond Hill, where he pitched four innings and struck out seven.
Dayutis finished the season with a .394 batting average, .474 on base percentage, .455 slugging percentage, two doubles, six RBIs, and six runs. He also pitched 16 innings and started three games on the mound. One of Dayutis’s top performances was on March 29, when he picked up three hits, two RBIs and two runs against Long County.
Jordan Lambright for the Tigers was named as an honorable mention, scoring 14 runs and hitting 8 RBIs with a .294 batting average.
Bradwell finished the 2017 season with a 4-20 record. The Tigers were coached by Jeff Polk.
