Local cast in feature film

Kristyl Dawn Tift, a 2000 Liberty County High School graduate, has been cast in the feature film “Hall Pass,” directed by the Farrelly brothers and starring Owen Wilson.  Now filming in Atlanta, the movie is due for release in 2011.  
Tift was a drummajor in the Panther Marching Band, a member of the wind ensemble, advanced women’s ensemble and drama club. She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2004 with a bachelor’s in theater and was accepted to the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. Tift graduated with a master’s of fine arts in acting and moved back to Statesboro to accept a temporary assistant professorship at Georgia Southern University where she taught theater and communications courses.  
Tift now lives in Atlanta, acting, singing, writing and teaching.  She is the daughter of Charles and Deidre’ Tift.
