Army Staff Sgt. Chaonaine A. Armstrong has deployed to Iraq to serve in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Armstrong, an automated logistics specialist with 13 years of military service, is normally assigned to the 249th Quartermaster Company, Fort Bragg, N.C.  
She is the daughter of Jacalyn R. Jones of Hinesville.

Harper graduates from basic training
Air Force Airman Caleb A. Harper graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Barbara Cromer of Guyton and Michael Harper of Midway.
Harper is a 2005 graduate of the Savannah Arts Academy.

Herrod returns to U.S. after deploying

Army Spec. Eric W. Herrod is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.
Herrod is a wheeled vehicle mechanic with five years of military service.
He is the son of Randy Herrod and Sheryl D. Walpole of Hinesville.
The specialist is a 2001 graduate of Bradwell Institute.

Perryman finishes basic training
Navy Seaman Apprentice Gavin A. Perryman recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
He is the son of Donna G. and Rick B. Perryman of Hinesville.
The sailor is a 2008 graduate of Liberty County High School.

Stoves graduates from basic training
