Leroy and Louise Woods of Midway celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 28.
They were married at the Calvary Baptist Chapel in Savannah with the late Rev. John Wilder officiating.
Mr. Woods worked for many years at Porter Huggins and Porter Trucking Company. He is the retired owner of Woods Trucking and Tractor Company in Midway.
The former Louise Green worked in accounting at Karp Motors, also with Tom Bordeaux Sr. and was the bookkeeper for the family business.
The couple was blessed with five children: Jenell (Grant), Elaine (Frank), Sandi (Roy), Ronny (Tony), Jeffrey (Robin). They have nine grandchildren, April, Patrick, Rusty, Timmy, Kathy, Kristin, Jocelyn, Dakota and Gatlin. They also have five great-grandchildren, Heaven, Tommy, Will, Ryan and Jacob.
Their children hosted a celebration in their honor at the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church on June 23.
