Guest artistic director and bass/baritone Keith Miller presents “A Night at the Opera” on Saturday, Nov. 10, to benefit the Savannah Children’s Choir’s travel scholarship fund.

He will be joined by SCC 2012-13 artist in residence, baritone Gregory Gerbrandt, who will have just finished a week’s residency with the SCC, along with Tamara Ryan, soprano, Jennifer DeDominici, mezzo-soprano and Gennard Lombardozzi, tenor.

“The SCC’s theme this year is ‘Singers are Storytellers’,” Miller said. “Having chosen a particularly expressive singer (Gerbrandt) as their artist in residence, I wanted to invite other artists who could help reinforce that theme."

This is the second year Miller, a former SCC artist in residence, has volunteered to invite artists to put on a concert to benefit the SCC.

“We received word today of the artists selected, and we couldn’t be more excited,” SCC executive director Cuffy Sullivan said. “Each of these artists has significant skills and impressive resumes, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Savannah."

Each artists’ resume may be seen on the SCC’s website, www.savannahchoir.org.

Night at the Opera, a benefit for SCC’s travel fund, will be held at the SCAD Museum. It starts with an artists talk at 5:30 p.m., a concert at 6:30 p.m., and a reception following the concert. Tickets are available online at www.savannahchoir.org.
