UnityFest seeking entertainers

Plans for “UnityFest — A Community Praise Celebration” are coming together. The event committee is accepting entertainment proposals for the Sept. 14 festival, which will run from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Amphitheatre at Bryant Commons in downtown Hinesville.
The committee seeks entertainment acts representing all ages and styles of praise and worship.
Any individual or group interested in sharing faith through an artistic presentation of the Gospel is encouraged to submit a proposal and audition.
During auditions, applicants will be evaluated on prayer, the quality of the entertainment they provide, what unique contributions they can make to the event and their proposal information.
The selection process will include either a scheduled, live audition or an audition based on the submission of a media package that  must include selections for the 15-minute set the artist proposes to perform at UnityFest.
The deadline to submit media packages is July 19. Submissions should include photo(s), resume of experience and a video or recording.
Live auditions will be held July 20. The UnityFest entertainment lineup will be announced Aug. 1.
The committee also is accepting vendor applications for arts and crafts, food items and Christian-themed merchandise.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the planning committee or for the event should call the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority at 877-4332 or email discoverdowntown@coastalnow.net.
