14th Annual Tybee Island Sea Kayak Races are set for Sept. 15.
Proceeds to Benefit the Tybee Island Marine Science Center
WHAT: 14th Annual Tybee Island Sea Kayak Races. Fortune Recycling presents this popular annual sea kayaking race will benefit the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, a non-profit marine science education facility offering hands-on programs throughout the year. The event, which is open to the public, is presented in conjunction with the Savannah Ocean Exchange.
The Tybee Island Sea Kayak Races include the 6.5-mile Tybee River Race, the 8-mile Little Tybee Challenge and the Race Across the River Competition (open to gold sponsors only). New this year will be a special Stand Up Paddleboard category in the Tybee River Race and the Little Tybee Challenge.
WHEN: Saturday, September 15, 2012
Sign-in for the first two races will take place between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m., followed by a brief orientation. Race start times are as follows:
Tybee River Race 8:30 a.m.
Little Tybee Challenge 8:45 a.m.
Race Across the River 11:00 a.m.
