The restaurant is expected to create 130 jobs, which will include a mix of full-time and part-time employees.
The facility is more than 7,500 square feet and will seat approximately 275 guests.
Besides its lunch and dinner buffets, which will feature more than 100 hot and cold food items, the new Golden Corral will serve a three-day “Sunrise Breakfast Buffet” from 7:30-11 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Hours of operation will be 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday; and 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sundays.
The restaurant also has banquet facilities that will be available free of charge for groups and organizations in the area.
The business is owned by local entrepreneurs Rajan “Rock” Patel, Shefali Patel, Kantilal Patel, Sushilaben Patel, Atulkumar Patel and Mike Dolan.
In other area restaurant news, the Rolling Crab, 708 E. Oglethorpe Highway, opens Friday, according to the business’ marquee.
As previously reported in the Courier, the Rolling Crab is designed to be a laid-back, original-concept seafood restaurant.
