-

Volunteers of the Third Infantry Division and Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield have long set the standard for service to the military community.

They are found working in Army agencies, private organizations and Family readiness groups.

Volunteers help people and services connect.

Volunteers provide caring, professional support and patriotic service to Soldiers and Families. They are the very heart and soul of the programs they serve. The gift of their skills, professional manner, spirit, and flexibility allow us to provide the appropriate programs to meet the changing needs of the mobile military community.

Each member of the community is encouraged to join in the celebration and recognition of the marne volunteers. We thank them for their time, talents, dedication, and patriotic spirit. Marne volunteers proudly serve as, “the Force behind the Force.”

As marne volunteers continue to give from the heart, they provide an invaluable service to the Soldiers and Families of the finest Army in the world.

To applaud their commitment, dedication and patriotism, I proclaim the week of April 15-21, 2012 to be Third Infantry Division Volunteer Appreciation Week.
