Will and Carol Darsey of Colonels Island are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Marlow, to James David Myers of Rock Hill, S.C.
The bride-elect’s maternal grandparents are the late Carlin Soloman and Cleo Annie Douglas Zipperer of Wilmington Island. Her paternal grandparents are James Ralph Darsey and the late Davis Marlow Darsey of Hinesville.
She is a 2001 graduate of Liberty County High School, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She was also a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama in 2006 and currently works with Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill as a medical social worker.
The groom-elect is the son of Ron and Debbie Myers of Rock Hill. His maternal grandparents are Leonard V. and Jane L. Starnes of Rock Hill. His paternal grandparents are James A. and Vonita Myers of Philadelphia, Miss.
He is a 2001 graduate of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in real estate and a minor in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. He was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed with Provident Community Bank in Rock Hill as a commercial credit analyst.
The wedding ceremony will be on Sept. 29 on Colonels Island.
