Danny and Carol Maley of Douglas are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jean Claire Maley, to Jason Leonard Baker, son of David and Theresa Baker of Midway, Georgia and Debra Lee of Pine Mountain, Ga. The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Martha Evans and the late R.B. Evans of Douglas. She is the paternal granddaughter of Charlotte Maley and the late John Maley of Douglas. The groom-to-be is the maternal grandson of George and Francis Smith of Rye Patch Community, Ga. He is the paternal grandson of the late Jack and Betty Baker of Stamps, Ark. The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 2007 at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Douglas.
