Phillip Stein of Port Huron, Mich., is proud to announce the engagement of his daughter, Marsha Stein of Hinesville, to Marlin Barker of Lawrenceville.
She is the daughter of Phillip and the late Donna Stein.
The bride-elect has a master’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia Southern University and is currently employed as a first-grade teacher at Diamond Elementary on Fort Stewart.
Her daughters are Melissa King and Christina Hatfield, and her grandsons are Samuel Hammond V and Harrison King IV.
The groom-elect is the son of Virginia and the late Worth Barker of Bent Mountain, Va. He is a master toolmaker, as well as a Christian singer and songwriter.
The couple has planned a fall wedding.
