Mr. and Mrs. Bill Goodwin announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephany Vae Swindell, to Mr. John William Woods Jr.
The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late S. Mike Swindell. Her maternal grandparents are L.G. and Sylvia McDonald. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Swindell.
The future groom is the son of J.W. and Gayle Woods. His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Woods.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Bradwell Institute. She is also a graduate of Brewton-Parker College with a bachelor’s of science in middle school education. She is currently employed by the Liberty County Board of Education as a teacher at Lewis Frasier Middle School.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Liberty County High School. He is also a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College with degrees in plant science and agricultural engineering. He is currently employed by the Department of the Army Directorate of Public Work Environmental Division Forestry Branch.
The wedding will be held Saturday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Hinesville.
