Daaiyah R. Cooper of Ludowici graduated on May 8 from Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a doctor of medicine degree.
She will complete her residency training in internal medicine-emergency medicine at Pitt County Memorial Hospital/East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C.
Cooper is the daughter of William E. Cooper of Jersey City, N.J.; the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Walthour of Riceboro and Mr. and Mrs. Willie F. Thompson, Florence Baggs and Mary Hamilton, all of Ludowici; and the granddaughter of the late Frances Baggs of Ludowici.
