Amanda Kathleen Herring of Whitmarsh Island, formerly of Hinesville, was named to dean’s list at Armstrong Atlantic State University for the spring 2010 semester, according to AASU Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Ellen Whitford. Herring earned a 4.0 grade point average.
The honor is awarded to students who have earned a grade point average of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in at least nine credit hours. Herring, a 2007 Liberty County High School honor graduate and HOPE scholar, is a full-time student majoring in psychology. She plans to graduate this December.
Herring is the daughter of Mary Johnson Herring and of Ernest P. Herring of Hinesville. She is the granddaughter of the late Flossie Mae Johnson, also of Hinesville.
