Editor, This week I was introduced to the Web site “zootoo.com” and the wonderful contest they are sponsoring to help animal shelters. I have really been having fun exploring the site, meeting new friends and, most importantly, helping our local Liberty Humane Animal Shelter at the same time.
The shelter is currently 13th in the nation and the contest has only a short while left to run. Each time “zootooers” log on to the site, upload pictures of their pets and engage in other interesting activities, the shelter earns points.  
I am writing to encourage all animal lovers in Liberty County to go to www.zootoo.com and register.  It is free. If we all pull together, we can help our shelter win prize money for a much needed makeover. Our pets and all animals in Liberty County deserved our help. The animals can’t ask you, but I am asking that each of you will register at the Web site, post daily and help push our local shelter over the top to win a makeover!
