Editor, I have been placed on the city of Hinesville City Council meeting agenda for the July 19 meeting at 1 p.m. to discuss the new Thomas Park, which if you did not know, borders McDowell, Bacon, Fleming, Elaine, Lesa and Sharon Street.
I am not opposed to the park (read your back copies of the Coastal Courier and Savannah Morning News for a brief history of that parcel), but I feel there are issues to be discussed.
I urge those who live there, and especially homeowners on the mentioned named streets, to attend this meeting. It’s part of your town.
