'Closing worship was awesome'

Editor, The closing worship was awesome during the 142nd session of the Old Georgia Annual Conference.
This is when all the churches look forward to getting back their preacher.
All the churches came together for the final celebration. The district theme song was “Peace Like a River.”
William P. Deveaux was our presiding bishop. He stated “Some will be happy and some will not be, but remember those  will be in the elder’s hand until you have a preacher.”
The Rev. Donald Jordan delivered a dynamic message about “them dry bones” and The Rev. Jordan read from Ezekiel 37:1-5, reminding us all power is in His hands.
The message reminded us the word of God will prevail. Only God can bring the valley to life. Life, hope, joy and peace speak to the word of God.
Speak the word that gives us joy. When peace like a river is well with my soul, it is well with my soul.
Welcome back the Rev. John E. Morse and family.
