Heart of Christ seeks assistance

Editor, The good news is the Heart of Christ has reopened its doors after being open by appointment only for the past three months, and we’re very happy to be back in the saddle.
The charity organization is at 140 MLK Jr. Dr. in Hinesville.
We provide food, clothing, furniture, appliances and other items to the area’s indigent residents. Also, we provide temporary housing in certain cases, as well as spiritual counseling to addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes, ex-offenders and others.
Furthermore, I’m willing to pray with anyone who requests me to do so.
The bad news is Heart of Christ is in need of donations since its inventory was depleted because of the closure.
Any of the items listed above in good condition will be accepted.
The Heart of Christ is also in need of monetary donations for its day-to-day operations, and we’re asking all of the charity’s friends and supporters consider making a donation at this crucial time.
The organization is also in need of volunteers to help sort clothing and other items, and to help arrange and organize its inventory.
If you are available to volunteer any time during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (preferably at least two hours at a time), call 369-2352 or 492-5460.
Tax-deductible contributions can be mailed to: P.O. Box 903, Hinesville, GA  31310, or can be dropped off at the Heart of Christ’s shop at 140 MLK Jr. Drive.
As always, we are grateful for all the support Liberty and neighboring counties have given to the Heart of Christ over the past 25 years.

Gloria Christ
