Pleasant Grove expresses gratitude

Editor, On behalf of the Pleasant Grove AME Church family, I want to express to the Hinesville Fire Department and all other response teams responding to the fire on our grounds on March 30, 2007, our thanks and gratitude for the valiant efforts made to save our building.
The professionalism and diligence by which they all performed their duties gave us a sense of pride during a most difficult ordeal.
We are grateful these responders were able to perform their duties without injury or loss of life; for this, God’s name is to be praised. Once again, we want to say thank you for all that you did on that day to make our circumstance more acceptable.
Secondly, we want to say thank you to the community at large for its outpouring of love and condolences. Many have expressed their well-wishes and have offered to assist in any manner. To accommodate your requests, we have opened the Pleasant Grove Fire Relief Fund c/o The Heritage Bank, P. O. Box 1009, Hinesville, Ga. 31310.
As the Easter season is upon us, this outpouring has strengthened us to rise from this situation with new resolve. This community’s concern is immeasurable and we would never be able to express our true feelings of thanks, but it is wonderful to know we are loved.
The “Grove” will rise from these ashes! Continue to pray for us and everything will continue to be “pleasant in the grove.”
