Red Cross thanks residents for help in search

Editor, In times of disasters it is so touching to see communities come together to show support when someone in the community is in trouble and needs help. Recently the citizens, businesses, churches and organizations of the Pembroke-Bryan County area and surrounding counties came together in a huge way to help in the search effort for Emma Carroll on Carroll Crossing Road.
The American Red Cross was there providing a listening ear, a caring heart, a cold bottle of water and meals to search teams, volunteers and family in Pembroke, July 19-26.
As a result of your donations, you helped to support the mission of the Red Cross by providing assistance to emergency personnel, search teams, volunteers and the family. Thank you for your outstanding contribution to the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. We truly appreciate your generosity and cooperation during this disaster. Your efforts were above and beyond and will be forever remembered and appreciated!
